This spring Mono Hot Springs Resort will be open for ATV Quad travelers.
Your green stickered 4-wheel ATV vehicle allows you to traverse over snow bound Kaiser Pass to Mono Hot Springs and Edison/Florence Lakes before the road is open to the auto traveling public. Many of you that are experienced ATV travelers over Kaiser Pass to Mono/Edison Lake have requested that we open up for ATV travelers that come to the area in the spring. Therefore, we will be open for ATV travelers this coming spring featuring a two night package that includes a cozy stone two bedroom cabin with a fireplace, heater, toilet and bedding; use of the resort hot springs bathhouse and spa and great meals in our restaurant by Chef Andy. There will be lots gourmet food and drinks family style. The restaurant will be available for evening socializing and TV viewing.
Besides ATV traveling to Edison Lake and Florence Lake for trout fishing, you may just want to get away from it all for a weekend of really great meals, fun with good friends, and relaxing in the resort’s hot springs spa surrounded by a spectacular Wilderness setting.
Of course, an opening date is weather dependent, but this year we may open as early as March 14 through probably the first week in May. As many of you know, when it gets too warm, usually in May, travel over the snow can be difficult if not impossible. For this reason weather night time temperature forecasts are important to watch. When weather and road conditions are not right, we do not recommend ATC travel of the Kaiser Pass Road and beyond.
It is recommended ATV quad travelers have experience in ATV mountain snow travel and that at least two or more ATVs vehicles travel together. ATVs should be only 4-wheel drive with snow tires. An air pump should be carried bacause the tires may have to be deflated to 2-3 pounds for more buoyancy in the snow. It is important to watch weather forecasts.
Travel from Huntington Lake to Mono Hot Springs may take 2 hours or more. Travel in the very early morning before sunrise is usually necessary when the snow is still hard frozen. Deposits will be refunded for predicted changing weather and road conditions. We do not rent ATVs and are not responsible in any way for you traveling into or out of Mono Hot Springs Resort and all preparation in and out of the resort is entirely your responsibility; the resort is not prepared to assist you in traveling in or traveling out. Cell phone service is only AT&T.
A 2 night stay is only $389.00 per person. Arrival Days are Thursday and Friday. There is a 4 person minimum and a limit of 12 people at any one time. A 50% Deposit is required.
